ok so im not sure if i am really having dress regrets or if it is because i am looking at everyone elses dresses and thinking how amazing they look. i wrote an earlier post about how my first time i was talked into a very nice ball gown. problem was, the lady never ashed me my budget so it was about $400 over my budget. i eneded up borrowing some money and purchasing it. only to realize that it wasnt really what i wanted. i wanted something simpler. thankfully davids bridal let me exchange it. i knew i wanted something light and flowy to match my out door reception theme. i picked a dress…lost some weight. ordered a smaller size…and then its been in the closet for months and months. i went in last week to get new bridesmaid dresses and had mine on and didnt love it anymore! why is this happening to me? i just dont feel like bride in it. like its not fancy enough. oh and we had a venue change last minute so it will now be held indoors rather than outside in a tent… but i am stuck. this will be the dress i walk down the aisle in. no room to change my mind again. im just hoping i somehow end up disliking it a little less when the big day comes…
sorry just had to vent and i know the bees are good listeners =)

Um, you look incredible in that dress! I don’t think you will regret it when you see your pics! Try a fancier veil, I just made a post about Mantilla veils which make it a little more formal, there is a lot of pics if you want to look!!

That top is soo flattering on you. It’s going to look great in photos. Try a big chiffon hair flower and a chathedral length veil. I think that will add the drama and bridal feeling you’re looking for. On my wedding day, it was really my hair and make up that made me feel like a bride. Sometimes it’s the total package. You look fantastic in this dress though.

@Miss Sardine i have a very small budget. that ive already gone over. my first dress was $700 and i paid for it myself. the second dress i swapped for was $500 (this one) and they talked me into a $150 tiara and $90 veil i really wasnt too thrilled about. after the “exchange” i even ended up spending MORE money. the sales people are good at what they do and i am not good at saying no…i have since spent money on a simple $20 veil from them that i am in love with and will have a crystal ribbon head band…no pics yet. and have had to take far less than what i paid for the other items in a last attempt to get rid of them…
@hotwings– as i mention to sardine i will have a crystal ribbon headband…in another post i mentioned how i went in for what i said was a trim and the woman cut probably over 5 inches off. i was so upset. my hair can not be put into an up do now and i am very upset about this as well.
and to add to everything, my maid of honor grew in the bust area. and with only a month left til the wedding we didnt have any other choice but to switch dresses…and spend more moeny,
so this entire thing rather than being a mostly happy occasion has been one big headache and has made me miserable. and i just cant seem to get away from it

I think you look beautiful in it and when you have your hair and makeup done, you will be even more beautiful in it; however, from your post it seems like you might like a little bling on your gown. You could replace the flower with a large brooch and/or blingy rhinestone or beaded sash, and then I think you would love your gown again.

Very pretty dress! I love it. You look great, and like the last poster said, once it comes all together with the hair and makeup and accessories, you’ll feel a lot better.

You look really beautiful.
Lots of ladies have simple flowy dresses for indoor receptions. Its what you look and feel most comfortable in that matters!
I agree with others that there are lots of ways you can glam the dress up if you want. THINK BLING! THINK KILLER SHOES!
What about adding a sash just where the flowers hit at your waist?
