I love the beading! The only thing I might consider changing is the parallel beading on the neckline (is that sequins?) but that’s personal preference. I like the rest of it, it looks pretty subtle from the photos and will add a bit of sparkle on the day.

I rememaber your journey.  I think the dress is beautiful!  I love the beading as well and it compliments the skirt.

I’m not in love-in love with my dress.  I really like mine too.  I don’t think a bride needs to be gaga in love with her wedding dress.  Maybe you’re expecting that feeling?  Is it because you have never seen it in person yet?

I think the dress looks really great. The beading does not look over the top to me and I think it really does the give the dress what I needs. I think it’s intricate beading done subtle which I really like.

@Mrsgurzakovic:  Perhaps “Say Yes to the Dress” makes brides think they need to start crying at the mere thought of their dress.  I didn’t get that at all.

I like my dress because it doesn’t need a single alteration and I got it half price at a liquidation sale.  It’s also very flattering on me.  It’s an all lace Casablanca, so very nice quality for the price I paid.  There is some detail that I wasn’t crazy about at first, but overall is not a big deal and I will leave it as is.

So those are the reasons I like my dress – very simple requirements for me!

I bought my dress and I bought it two sizes too big because that was the only size the store could get their hands on. When I got it home, I hated it. When I went to the seamstress to have it fitted, I hated it. I would seriously stare at pictures of my dress wondering why the heck did I choose that one? The second fitting, I was starting to like it a tad bit, at least enough to actually wear it down the aisle. Then I had to wait a week, and I hated my dress! I picked it up this past Thursday and I’ve tried it on twice now and I love it! It’s still mostly the same dress except I took a bow off it and changed the neckline a tad bit (my favorite part).

It was definitely a journey to realize that I liked my dress. Once you get your dress and try it on and it fits, I’m sure you’ll get the same realization. πŸ™‚
