When I first read your thread, I thought it said “I’m having my TOENAILS removed…”

Glad to hear the surgery went well, and I hope you feel better soon!

Definitely ask for some cough meds! I was coughing a lot after surgery too (not a cold- I think just irritation in my throat) and they prescribed me with some cough meds. Sorry to hear it’s not going so well 🙁

@Lepidoptera:  There are some seriously amazing cough syrups out there that will stop your cough. It terrifys me that you are feeling something rip and tasting blood! Eeek!

I know for me personally, this cough syrup is amazing. (it might be like desulym what the other pp noted) It’s called tussionex, it tastes amazing, goes easily down. Instantly stops coughs, and helps you sleep.

Example, one time  had a cough so bad for weeks… I was playing monopoly with my family, my dad gave me some.. boom, out on the table. It was awesome. And my cough stopped.

Like pp stated, I would ask your doctor how it could react with all of your other meds. But seriouslllyyyy, give this a try!
