@kjr:I have the lea ann belter jemma dress.  It is absolutley beautiful and I do love it, but I’m still worried that I should have gotten a more fitted dress.  ๐Ÿ™

I looooovvvvveeeeeeee the original one you purchased. It is beautiful and very unique. Maybe you could try looking for a beaded belt or some accessory. It might change the way you feel.

I definitely went through the whole second thoughts about my dress thing and let me tell you, I was miserable!

For about a year or so before I was even engaged I had been looking online at different wedding dresses to get ideas. I always went back to the same one that I thought was gorgeous–it had everything I wanted in a dress. There were a few others by the same designer that I like but I always had my eye on that first one.

So anyways, I go to the store in my city that carried this designer (Pronovias) and I tried on one of my secondary favorites–big mistake!! I loved how it looked on me and I got carried away. I sort of closed my mind off to my original favorite and thought it was the one for me. When my mom told me to have an open mind and try my original favorite one on, I didn’t even really give it a chance. I decided to pick the one I tried on and we put the down payment for it. Meanwhile, I was pissed at my mom for not loving the dress like I did (I know, stupid reason to be mad but I’m very close to my mom and I was crushed that she wasn’t in love with the dress I picked) and we were tense for a few days after.

Well, it wasn’t long before I started having dress regret. I kept thinking “Maybe my mom was right. I didn’t give my original dress a chance, and I have loved it for so long.” I even cried to myself because I thought I was supposed to be sure about the dress and I realized I wasn’t! Finally I couldn’t take it anymore and I told my mom “You’re going to kill me, but I want to go back to the store and try both dresses on again to be sure I made the right choice.” Well, she was so happy and she told me she had a feeling I wasn’t 100% sure about the dress (Damn her for always being right! lol ๐Ÿ™‚

So finally, we ended up going back to the store and lucky for me they hadn’t ordered the dress yet. I ended up trying on my original favorite and immediatley I knew that it was “the one”. I’m SO happy I changed my mind and was able to switch dresses. Now I am 100% sure that I have my dream dress.

I’m glad to know I’m not crazy and that there are other girls who have gone through somewhat similar situations. Embarassed
