I just can’t help but think that my dress isn’t “the dress”. When dress shopping I braught along my Maid/Matron of Honor, 1 Bridesmaid, My mom and my 2 year old daughter. My the time I got to the 4th dress, I was stressed to the max. My daughter was everywhere with a black pen, provided by the wonderful employees of the bridal shop (smart right). I was irritated about everything that day. Now I feel like I have cheated myself and only settles for this dress, basically to get out of the store. Now I want to go shoppping again, without a 2 year old, and see if there is something that I like better. Anyone else have this problem?

I definitely had that problem. I rushed because the price was great. I regretted it, and ended up going out for a new dress. Maybe post pictures? Is there something specific you don’t like about it? If not, you did choose it so maybe it’s more of a dislike of the experience than of the dress itself. But if you still dislike it it can’t hurt to go look again. If you still love it, you won’t want to! I know that my second dress is “the one” because I see other dresses I love but wouldn’t want to switch at all.

Why don’t you post a picture of your dress? We can tell you what we think and hopefully reassure you.

This is a pic of the dress I chose. I always pictured myself in something more fancy and blinged out.

Did you already purchase it? If so, just try to sell it online. I say get what you want! Definitely go shopping again and get your dream dress! 🙂 Sounds like you’ll really regret it if you don’t…

I would go try it on again to see if it really is the one. That’s the only way you’ll know. Then, if it’s not. . . go shopping again! With less people, of course. =)

I did purchase the dress already, but it is still at the bridal shop, unaltered. I have called and talked to them and they are willing to return the dress IF I find another dress at that shop. Then they will take what I paid for that dress toward the other and refund any money if there is any. They are being extremely awsome about it. I feel like if I just go and try on dresses that maybe I will get that “feeling” in something else and if I don’t then I know that my first choice was the right choice. I also kind of feel like my decision was also based on everyone elses opinion and being as flustered as I was, I think I went with more what they liked then what I liked.
Thank you all so much for your input. It is greatly appreciated, along with anymore input that anyone would choose to give.

@aranel1002: I’m going to sell my dress and get a new one after I had some serious dress regret. Just wondering, but did you sell your original dress? If so how? Did you use the recycledbride website or something like that?

I say go and look if it is not the dress it is not the dress! Leave the 2 year old at home and find the right dress!

@Mtess1: Haha well, it’s on ebay right now but hasn’t sold or got any activity yet. I was going to go with preownedweddingdresses or whatever that site is, but it ended up having quite an expensive listing fee. I think I may try recycled bride though, they have a free option! 😛 Plus, even if I don’t sell the first one, I still come out nearly ahead financially buying the new one. The new one cost as much as alterations would have with the first dress, and the new one needs little to no alterations 😛
