@reavis06:  Have you looked at http://www.theperfectpalette.com  ?

All you have to do is scroll down on the right and click on one of your favorite colors. The results will show all the palettes they have developed using that color.

I think it is fairly normal – it is a big decision to make, and there are a lot of beautiful combos out there! I had the same problem.

I echo what @julies1949: said – look at blogs like perfect palette, style me pretty, martha stewart, and pinterest to see what colours you are drawn to.  Think about what your favourite colour is, or what your favourite flower is.

Book your venue(s) first, then pick colors that match or complement the venue(s). You have  two years to go and you will likely change your mind and colors a few times.

Right now you should focus on setting a budget, agreeing on a guestlist, and figuring out how big or small, casual or formal you want your wedding to be.

I agree with the last comment, the venue will make a huge difference. I was originally going to get married in my church and it had red carpet… nightmare. However, I’m not getting married there, the chapel I’m getting married in has neutral colors.

I’m always pushing bright colors for summer weddings because I’m having a winter wedding and it’s kind of limiting.

if that’s too crazy for you, maybe just one side of the color wheel…
