I think that travel anxiety is very common, especially when it comes to being afraid of flying. Just try to remember that it is safe and keep your eye on the prize (spending your honeymoon with your beloved) You might also want to try airport yoga (really is a thing) to relax. Bring a good book, and prepare ahead of time so you don’t have to stress about cramming everything in at the last minute.

Pack a change of clothes, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and those disposable face wipes in your carry-on bag, just in case your luggage is lost.  Wear comfortable clothing.  Find a book you’re looking forward to reading so you can look forward to that.  And tell your fiance calmly that you’re really anxious about flying, not about the honeymoon in general.  Maybe looking over what’s going to be awesome about it will make it all better.

You’ll be fine!

@Stace126:  I am scared to fly too. Go to your doctor and have them prescribe some anti anxiety meds. It takes the edge off. Without them I am in tears for most of the flight so I get how you feel.

Pack all your most important/valuable things in your carry-on. Lost luggage happens, but it isn’t the end of the world, and often it’s returned. Security isn’t bad either. I’ve been through security in a few countries.. it’s really just a necessary thing more than anything. No one likes it. Make sure to put 100 ml and less items in a small see-thru plastic bag. I usually take a small zip-loc with all my travel necessities (the rest of my products go in my checked luggage). Get to the airport with plenty of time so you’re not rushing.

Is your Fiance better with this sorta stuff than you? If so, have him take the lead. I pretty much just follow my SO around since I’m always super nervous, but knowing that he knows what he’s doing really helps me. I also always have a packing list, and double check if before we leave the house. I’m usually nervous until we get to the hotel, but once I am there I’m ok and I can start having some fun.
