i am stressing way to much about my colors. I originally thought I wanted navy and blush pink as my colors. We just booked our venue and there are gold Chiavari chairs with black padding. I don’t like the idea of putting a white cover and colored sash on the chair…that costs $5.50 per chair. I love the look of the Chiavari chair, but I feel like that is going to clash with any color I pick. Now I am thinking about eggplant, lavander, and champage. That would work with the gold, but I’m not so sure about the black. Any thoughts?

I think that eggplant, lavander champage and black would be great together. I’m a little biased though, because my colours are eggplant, ivory and black haha. I do love your original idea of navy and blush, but I agree that your new colour choices will look much better with the gold chairs. I think that those colours are so elegant 🙂
Edit: Here is an example that is kind of similar to the colours you are looking at:

My colors are purple and teal blue and when I walked into my very neutral venue and saw that they had deep red chairs I about flipped. It is most definitely NOT in my budget to have chair covers and sashes and how am I supposed to have my colors when my chairs are RED! Later on my wonderful reception planner pointed out to me that, when you walk into a reception you don’t look at the chairs and think “OMG what is going on with these chairs that DON’T match her color scheme.” It really helped me to put into perspective that I wasn’t going to sacrafice my budget or my dream colors so that the chairs match. Yeah it gives a nice affect when you first walk in, but all your guests really care about is being there to celebrate you and your happiness. They want good food, music, and dancing, but don’t care much about the chairs. IMO.
On that note, I would go with whatever colors make you happy. Eggplant, lavendar, and champaign would be a STUNNING combo! However, if your heart is dead set on navy and pink, I wouldn’t throw it out because of chair colors.
