I heard “Let Go” by Tyrone Wells and thought to myself–that would be a nice father-daughter song.  Downside…if you pay attention to the lyrics it’s probably about dying…but if you have a dj that can cut it up, and take out the chunk in the middle, it would be awesome!  And it might just be me that thinks that.  It’s definitely a slightly bittersweet song.

My brother’s wife had a very similar situation and she used Brad Paisley’s “Didn’t Have to Be”… its geared for a boy but they had a friend sing it for them and changed the chorus to “Looking back on all he’s done for me, I’m just glad that he was my dad even though he didn’t have to be”:

My dad and I are thinking of “My Girl” too but about surprising eveyone with a really upbeat choreographed number haha still don’t know what we’re going to do.
