Fiance and I will be honeymooning at Waikiki Beach on Oahu, last time I went I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel and it was nice. Clean and comfortable rooms, RIGHT across from the beach, close to lots of other restaurants and shops.

When I went to Oahu I stayed at the Ohana hotel on Waikiki Beach.  It was really great!  It isn’t right on the beach, but it’s on the other side of the road from the beach.  So basically you just have to walk across one street, but it’s cheaper since it’s not beachfront.  It doesn’t have a lot of resort amenities like multiple pools etc., but we didn’t really care for that anyways since we spent our time out and about or at the beach.

I can’t say whether or not Oahu or Maui is better.  I haven’t been to Maui but am going for my wedding next summer.  I know there is more to do on Oahu, more attractions to see and a more touristy, bigger city feel.  It’s really awesome!  Maui is more relaxed and focused on the nature I think.
