Well I’m a Hawaii bride but it will only be a destination for 90% of the people coming, lol. Where are you planning on having your wedding?

August 2011 Destination Wedding Hawaii bride here! But like littlemissmango its only destination for my FIs family since my immediate family live there.

So far we have the ceremony out of the way (booked the restaurant, have the priest, got the dress, ordered the cupcake tier & booked the photographer) and now all we need to do is book tickets and our hotel.

Aloha!

Destination for all of my friends, but not for the groom and myself!

@PinkPandaBear:  Nice that you have it figured out!  All we have is the date (a little more than 6 months away…cringe).  We are still hunting the location, caterer, cake-yeah everything πŸ™‚  Who is your photographer?

@pebble:  August of this year, in Maui

We know where we’re staying, and are starting to plan the ceremony and reception details….which is hard to do when you can’t physically check out the places! We vacationed in Maui 2 years ago but didn’t know to scope out wedding locations

Oahu… November 3! We are super excited. It will be a destination for all our guests expect a few of the Fiance family.  We already booked the venue and anrrowing down our catering options.  How many of you are doing any DIY stuff? I’m concerned about bringing so much on the plane.

I am debating the same thing. So far my Mom and Aunt are making part of the wedding favors in Canada, so they will be bringing those.  Everything I have ordered from Etsy has gone to my family in Canada (we live in Australia), and anything else major will have to go straight to the lady who is helping to plan the wedding in Hawaii (since everything I find online seems to be in the states anyways, it is cheaper to send it straight there or to Canada then to here in Australia).  We will have a few things on top of my dress and accessories, but trying to keep it to a minimum since I know the baggage thing will come into play.  Luckily my Fiancee is a light packer lol.

July 16th Kona

Everything is pretty much planned.  I just have to get my dress altered and shipped, and take care of the church music and decorations.
