Darling Husband & I love to camp & we love exploring the US and seeing all the different people/places! We were initially planning a trip to go camping in Texas/Arizona this upcoming spring. We would make a vacation out of it and take our time to check out as many places as possible. It would be awesome!
My parents really want to take a family trip to Hawaii either next spring or summer. I’d love to go because who doesn’t want to take a 10 day tropical vacation?! Darling Husband and I never did anything like this for our honeymoon so it would be cool to lounge on the beach and swim in the ocean and do some hikes around the area. Also, it’d be nice to go with my parents because they’re getting older and it’d be nice to have this memory with them.
We can’t afford both trips in one year so we need to make a decision! Hawaii with the fam, or camping trip with just the 2 of us?
Where would you go?

@Kimber_bee: Hawaii hands down! Then again, I live in Texas. Depending what part of Texas you are considering, just know that it can still be very, very hot here in spring and may not be very comfortable camping.

@Kimber_bee: Texas is hotter than hell and I hate camping. My vote is obvious, lol.

You can always go camping later on. A family vaca is a nice opportunity, have a good time with your parents!

I love, love, love Texas. I went to college in Austin and it is one of my very favorite US cities. That being said, for a vacation… Hawaii. Texas is a lot more accessible and it’ll be easier to get there some other time. Hawaii is amazinggg and I wouldn’t pass up going there to go to Texas any day. Kauai is absolutely gorgeous.

Hawaii. It’s a family trip that won’t happen every year and the TX camping trip can always wait until next year.

Hawaii…but I am probably biased as camping trip to Texas sounds horrible to me.

Camping in Texas would be cool too, though but I don’t like spiders!!

Hawaii!!! And I love to camp. Camping is not expensive though, although you might not be able to drive that far (if gas was the truely expensive part). You can camp any other weekend but just closer.

Hawaii ! Awesome camping here.
If you come to Oahu, send me a message and I’ll tell you the best spots!

I can’t speak for you, because camping is basically my personal hell. Humans built houses with electricity and plumbing so we wouldn’t have to sleep outdoors and cook on fires and poop in the bushes… and thank goodness for that. ;D
