Anyone out there get married in Honolulu, HI? We’re looking to book a Hawaiian trio (ukelele, guitar, vocals) with a hula dancer to play at our intimate reception (35 people max).
It’s a long shot, but I thought if anyone would have any references it would be be the Wedding Bee hive :). Any suggestions would deeply, madly, greatly appreciated.

Wedding Bee to the rescue! I am getting married on May 1st in Honolulu (very soon!) I am using the Jeff Teves Trio. You can PM me, and I will give you their info. They are a very good & professional trio, and play at many Waikiki hotels & establishments. I know that they can coordinate a hula dancer for you as well. Hope this helps!! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
**On another note, I could use some help fellow Bees! What do you all think of these receptions songs?**
Bridal Party Entrance: “Wann Be Startin’ Somethin'” – Michael Jackson
Couple Entrance: “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours” OR “I wish” – both by Stevie Wonder OR “We are Family” Sister Sledge
First Dance: “You and I” (second half, which is more upbeat) – Michael Buble
Cake Cutting: “How Sweet It is to be Loved by You” – Marvin Gaye
Father/Daughter Dance: “My Girl” (continues for Mother/Son dance, they will just join in)
Anniversary Dance: “I Feel Good” – James Brown (where married couples start dancing and then the DJ dismisses them based on how long they’ve been married until the winner is the couple married the longest!)

@AlohaSunshine: I love your wedding song list! And congrats to you on your upcoming wedding! ‘I Wish’ by Stevie Wonder is probably up there as one my fave songs of all time. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I’ll PM for more info…just as soon as I can figure that out. 😛
