@ashleyr0512: hCG trigger shots are used in women undergoing fertility treatments to induce ovulation – it’s an injection given intramuscularly. Since you inject yourself with hCG, there will thus be hCG in your system for several days after – I’ve heard it may take up to 10-11 days in some women for home pregnancy tests to fade to nothing. If a woman gets pregnant from the ovulation induced by the trigger, she’ll see that her HPTs fade and potentially go negative, then get darker again as the embryo implants and hCG is produced naturally.
In women not undergoing fertility treatments including an hCG injection, hCG should only be in your system if they are pregnant. A woman who ovulates naturally will not have postiive HPTs caused by ovulation, as the ovulation is triggered by LH in the body naturally rather than by hCG.
Does that answer your question?
In my experiances with HCG triggers it usually takes about 1 day for every 1000 iu’s injected. I always had a 10,000 iu injection and by day 11 it had cleared my system. Good luck to you!
