Long-time lurker here! Now I’m excited to become an active member because I got engaged this Thanksgiving!!!
Fiance (ahhhhhh! :D) and I were on a trip in NYC with my family, where he proposed in Central Park after of freezing morning of enjoying the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. I suspected it was coming, but the waterworks started the second he stopped me and said my name. Here is the 1920’s beauty he got me, the man did good!
I was so happy my mom was there to see it, and my dad was in on it so we got a fantastic play-by-play picture collection 🙂 Central Park was also where my parents got engaged so it was extra special. I can’t stop staring at it, haha.
Any other Thanksgiving proposal stories? Do share!

@lolot: Me too! I was so excited when I spotted this style in my size and directed Fiance to the website. I had seen rings I liked before but they seemed to get snatched up pretty quickly. He tried to tell me someone else bought it, but I knew better 🙂 He held onto it for 8 months waiting for just the right time!

@antique_acorn: Congrats! What a sweet proposal and even sweeter that your parents were engaged there as well. Love the ring – it actually looks a little like mine (which was my grandmothers).
