I am so happy… my SO has really kept me in the loop with the whole engagement planning, and he just told me he ordered the ring!! We looked at styles together, but he really wanted me to pick the one I like the most because he wants me to be happy with the ring I wear forever. I picked a three stone ring from Ashadiamonds.com, the Alexandria:
The shank will be rose gold, with a white trellis. Truly my dream ring! He’s so cute, when I showed him the link for the ring he said “$800?!?! Can’t you get it in platinum or something? That’s so cheap!” but I want him to save his money, and I truly love this ring. Maybe down the line we’ll upgrade to Mira H&A stones, once they are allowed in the US
So I am officially (unofficially) “pre-engaged,” as he’s not planning on proposing until next spring. This sounds silly, but I really hate surprises, and he likes to keep me in on the planning process. I’m not complaining, it helps me to know when to have my hair and nails done for pretty proposal pictures! We are planning on going to Florida to visit my family, and getting engaged sometime during that vacation, as where we are now doesn’t start getting warm or pretty until late May, haha. But the rest is up to him! I am beaming <3

@GoldfishPie: Yay!! I am the same way and I was involved in the choosing process also. It helps take away some of that impatience. Maybe he will surprise you with an early proposal. 🙂

Spring?! Eeeek! That is a gorgeous ring, by the way. I’m wishing I would have went the Asha/Mossy route when hinting to the SO 🙂

I know, March seems like forever away… He wanted to buy it now because the prices of gold are getting higher and higher, and he says (tongue in cheek ) that when Europe collapses everyone is going to be pouring their money into gold, so why not get in on it early! I like that reasoning!
We asked Mike from Ashadiamonds to take some high quality pictures before they send it out, and SO has agreed to let me hold onto those instead of seeing the actual ring. So I’ll post those when I get them, and probably print them out and carry them around with me, haha.

Congratulations. It’s only a matter of time before you are getting engaged then. That is indeed good news!
