Oh my gosh, HOW exciting!  Great news.  I am still waiting for our ring purchase so am not much help to you, but I think you should “go crazy with anticipation!”  Hmm…also maybe start getting your nails done before you go on any special dates, just in case it’s proposal time!

I was with my fiance the day he bought it, but it had to be sized so he didn’t take it home that day.  I knew when he picked it up too.  What I didn’t know was when he would propose.  I didn’t have to wait very long because the day after he picked it up he drove to my house at midnight (2 1/2 hour drive) to wake me up.  He told me I should come to the front door.  When I opened it there he stood.  He came in  got on one knee and asked me.  I spent the next hour calling family and friends.  It was late, but I was so happy that no one seemed to mind the night time call!

Hopefully you will receive your ring soon!  I know how it feels to just wait and wonder when it will happen!  Good luck!

I knew when he’d propose because we decided, together, to become engaged during R&R, and that i wanted to pick out my own setting. He’d been sending me photos of diamond center stones and getting my opinion on them while he was deployed, though. I knew something was up when he stopped sending me diamonds to look at.

I had no idea that my Fiance had bought a ring or that a proposal was coming. I would try and distract yourself (even though I know it’s hard)–the surprise of the proposal was one of my and his favorite things. I literally was speechless with shock for a good 5 minutes, lol.

congrats!!! I definitely knew it was coming and i THOUGHT i knew when it was coming (and i did). I definitely did go crazy waiting, as when I figured it out there was still about 2.5 months until it was going to happen. But in the end (seriously… i didn’t believe people when they told me but they were so right) that time waiting turned out to be such a tiny blip in our relationship i barely even remember it 🙂

Awwwwwww so happy for you! But I know how that feels LOL, I’m still waiting on my ring… it was purchased back in March, and we went shopping together…. I was crazy excited for a while and the anticipation killed, there were so many times where I thought he was gonna do it, and then it didn’t happen and I felt like an idiot LOL… but now I have calmed down… I started going to the gym and kept myself busy with other things… now I dont really think about it, when it happens, it happens… have you guys discussed when you want to get married? For us, we want fall 2011 and I’m a little panicking inside as venue’s are booking up for that time, but I’m hoping things will fall into place. Hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer, but if you do, it’ll be a huge surprise when he does propose 🙂 Thats what keeps me waiting patiently, the longer I wait, the more special he is trying to make the proposal, at least I hope so lol! Good luck!!!

That’s so exciting.  Just try to keep yourself busy.  He probably doesn’t want you to expect the proposal and if you keep thinking about it, it will upset you if it doesn’t come right away.
