And I still had a great time! I love my friends, we all went to my favourite restaurant, I took a day off of work to be lazy all day (treat yo’ self), and he was extra sweet to me all weekend (he always is, but even more so than usual!). And it was a great birthday.
Not every special day needs to be a ‘potential proposal day’ so just enjoy them for what they are and not what they might have been 🙂
That being said, I would still very much like this ring to be on my finger already! 😛

That sounds a lovely celebration and I think I need to adopt that attitude. There’s quite a few celebrations and events coming up which I need to enjoy instead of wondering if that’ll be the day.

So glad you were able to just enjoy your birthday for what it is 🙂

Happy belated birthday! Your day sounds rockin’!

i wouldn’t want my birthday and proposal to be on the same day. i would want a new day, a special day bc it is the proposal day.
then if god forbid something happens, you would always associate that negativity with that event.

bennybee : Happy belated, honestly I wouldn’t want him proposing on my birthday either. Let it be my birthday!

Happy birthday, and great perspective! I like the idea of the proposal happening on its own day – another celebration on the calendar, and a day reserved exclusively to celebrate one of the most important memories you’ll ever have.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! Whatever day it happens on will be a good day 🙂 I’m secretly betting on our anniversary in July though, haha.
