@chewah:  He’s going to see YOU in your dress and be blown away 🙂 Don’t worry about what he says about a picture of a similar dress on a model. Guys are weird.

My Fiance flat out told me he doesn’t care what my dress looks like. He’s going to be looking at you, his soon to be wife and the woman he is going to spend the rest of his life with. Trust me, it’ll be fine.

I’m so sorry! I wouldn’t fret though, a random model in a dress does not equate HIS beautiful bride in a dress! Also, I don’t know what your fiance is like but my darling fiance is horrible at imagining things on me. For normal clothes, I can show him something online that I’m thinking of purchasing and he’ll hate it. I’ll buy it anyway and he’ll love it and not realize it’s the same item. I think this is true for most people.

And you can always wear something form fitting for reception (if you want).

Honestly.. I probably wouldn’t even worry about it.. Maybe my fiance is different than most but when I ask him what he thinks about most things he could care less.. I garauntee I could flip through any wedding magazine and ask his opinion of 1000 different dresses and he’d say “its okay”. I agree with the above poster, when he sees YOU in it, I know he will love it!

My sweetie saw the model pic of my dress and said “yuck.” Too bad. And since I’ll be the only one wearing a bridal gown at the wedding, there will be no comparisons.

@chewah:  Guys don’t look at dresses as that doesn’t really interest them, they look at the whole package. Trust me, he will think differently when he sees you in the dress.

I have personally found that it is hard for a man to get excited about any wedding dress on some random person. My Fiance could care less about any dresses I look at online or on tv. However, I know when he seems me he will feel a different feeling.

@peachpeonies:  +1

my SO is the same way! I’ll ask for his opinions on clothing, whether it be online, on a model, on the rack, etc. and he won’t be too crazy about it, but then sees it on me and likes it.

Your Fiance will just be looking at you, his beautiful bride, the day of and won’t even care if you’re wearing a ball gown or a trumpet style, he’ll just be happy to be there with you!

So the exact same thing happened to me! LLoki was browsing online when hubby to be came over…

there were three pics up in the screen on wedding dresses… Including mine – well the one mine is inspired by!

and I couldn’t help but ask him, “do you like any of these” ?

and do you know what he said, “we’ll, I don’t like that one. It has too many ruffles” as he points to my dress!

waaaahhhhhh 😮 I was shattered!

anyway, i ended up telling him mine looks tis liar to this and he said,

“I’m sure it’ll look great on you though”

… good cover up babe! Lol but oh we’ll there’s no going back now and I’m super happy with my $270 dress!!! Yes that’s right $270 dress, and yip that’s including shipping and haing it custom made to may measurements!

i got it from china and I love it… Hoping he will to!

i wrote a review about the dress here if anyone wants to check it out! X

anyway, here’s the pic he pointed to, saying he didn’t like… Which is my dresses inspo…

P

and here’s me in it…

It still needs alterations and I got a lace up incase it didn’t fit, but I want buttons, so ill loose a bit of weight as the lace ups already as tight as it can go! Then get it changed to a zip back with button! Xxx

eee hope he likes it on the day!

Don’t stress, you have picked what you wanted and as many people have already said… He will be focused on you not the dress by itself.

I actually did the same as you, and he said the same, that there is no way he wanted to see me in Grecian style dress as I always wear that style. I had picked my dress and was a day away from ordering a Grecian style!!! Cue panic. I huffed and ended up showing him the exact dress I had chosen (not with me in it) and he was shocked… He said it actually was gorgeous and that he wished I were still wearing it… Ghent had always thought about me in a different style but didn’t know wht… Moral of my story… You know what you want, like and what suits you better than anyone! Stick with it!!! You will look stunning.
