so last night me and SO were laying in bed chatting and he wanted to discuss my birthday. we are planning a 2 week vacation in the beginning of october (lots of beautiful mountain scenery, old towns, castles and all), havent yet decided on the exact date but my bday falls somewhere in the 2nd week. we’re gonna meet our friends during the trip too. i dont really make a big deal out of my bday usually and he knows it..so i told him – even if its gonna be just a quiet evening with the two of us it will be totally fine. he smiled from ear to ear and said “ok..i was thinking about just the two of us version..but i want it to happen in %certain town name% and i’m sure i will make it a night to remember.” i didnt even start raising my expectations waiting-bee-style at that point, and blurted out sth like “oh thats nice..” but then, after a long pause he smiled even wider and added “i just want you to know i have biiig plans for the future with you.” that made my heart race..anyhow, i did my best to keep cool – “oh really. how big exactly?” with a jokingly suspicious face 😏, thinking “hope he isnt feeling my heart jumping out of my chest right now!” 😁 but he only giggled and held me tight…duh.
ok, i know i’m crazy, the post turned out lengthy and i shouldnt raise my expectations too high, knowing he’s great in making surprises and it will still be an awesome trip and a great night, with ring or without. he always makes me feel loved, cared for and happy. but i love this man so freaking much and want to spend the rest of my life with him..cant wait for “the rest of my life” to start 😊
