“NO, YOU RELAX BUDDY*.” <—- LMAO! Classic #waitingbeeproblems. You are not the first bee to say that to her SO.
I think you are within your rights. you could be passive-agressive.
“do whatever you think is best with your money”
“If that is the best way you can see spending that”
“Whatever you want”

@aokay I’m right there with you :/
Sending you good luck vibes!!

I am spending mine on paying off some of my credit card debit. My SO wants to put his in savings since he paid off his student loans this year and it took a huge chunk out of his savings. He keeps saying he might of already bought the ring but won’t confirm it either way. I guess only time will tell.

If he says relax, I’d relax. It could be an elaborate cover-up for the ring, or you could be getting a better ring than you anticipated 🙂
Mine is going to helping pay FI’s since he worked half of the year as an independent contractor, to buying myself some new contacts since they’re so dang expensive, and to savings. Paying for your own wedding kind of leaves your savings acct drained.

Putting it towards our summer vacation. I would like to think that my SO will be using his towards my ring though. . .

My SO is putting it towards the ring and I’m stoked!

My SO doesn’t even know what he’s doing about a tax return/if he’s even getting one because HIS MOTHER ALWAYS DOES IT FOR HIM. *facepalm*
His mother has also stolen thousands of dollars from him (from school financial aid). All I said was “Wow, you’re brave.”
I’d like to think if he did get anything back, he would put it towards the ring, but honestly I’m not sure. It is about halfway paid off (so that’s nice) but I might still have to wait until Fall. *sigh*

My Fiance is planning on paying off my ring, painting the house, and buying a fence to fence in the back yard

@aokay: It’s spent on the wedding. We wanted to keep it as an emergency fund but when I lost my job and was unable to get a new one this is the only way we would still be able to do it. (The wedding is going to cost around 3K.)

SO said he was going to save up his tax return money “for something” & he put a lot of emphasis on the “for something” part. We’ve been ring shopping for months now so I would hope it’s for that but I’m just going to try & be nonchalant about it because he’s unpredictable sometimes. I won’t lie though, I’ll be a lil disappointed if it’s not for that but I know I’ll get my ring eventually. Hope you get your ring soon too.
