I knew what ring I wanted and last night, my Boyfriend or Best Friend and I went in to look at it. Well, there was a sale on at the store, so I said to him that I would leave him alone if he wanted to buy it then (we’re all about a deal). Both of us assumed it would take over a month to get in (its from Birks). Much to both of our surprises, he was able to take it home right then. BUT…he won’t give it to me!!! I’ve seen the bag. I know it will need to be resized. He said he can’t keep a secret. Hes told me theres a surprise involved with the ring. I know where hes keeping it, but he won’t give it to me!!!
I’m so irritated.
He says he wants to do it when hes ready (before Xmas, because he wants me to show it off when I travel home to see family). But boy am I irriated now! I want my RING!!!

@HoyaTerpDC: I definitely feel your pain. My SO ordered my ring September 11th, and since I have baby fingers and it’s being made from scratch, it’s supposed to take 12-14 weeks!!!! I’m getting so impatient/nervous!!

That is a realllly long time to wait! But it should be ready soon, right? Maybe you’ll get a holiday proposal 🙂

Haha! That’s almost worse, knowing it’s in his possession and you can’t have it yet. But congrats, that’s very exciting for you!

That’s EXTREMELY irritating!!! I’d be on a hunt like a bloodhound for that bag when he isnt home…I have no shame lol.
My ring is from Birks too that I want.. the split shank Amorique cushion. You must have good taste 😛

I’m waiting and it seems like for-ev-ER! I saw the setting I want last year. We put the order in a couple weeks ago. The jeweler won’t tell me when the ring will be ready, he’ll only tell Fiance. Boo! I told the Fiance to tell me immediately when the ring comes in! I’m hoping it will be sooner rather than later because I’m tired of waiting!

Oh man, the wait is tough! It’s almost easier if it’s a total shock. Mr.D kept faux-tying his shoe on one knee, or doing all these almost fake proposals. Hopefully your boyfriend doesn’t take too long!
