That is so sad. I’m so sorry. It sucks that little people have to suffer. And like you said though, they always remain happy and hopeful. I don’t have any advice on how to be more supportive. just listen, love, and support in whichever way seems best at the moment.

You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers. <3

I’m so sorry for your loss. That’s just so sad. Was there something he really loved to do? I heard of a little boy who passed away from cancer, and before he died he started a foundation to raise money to install a theatre into the local children’s hospital so they could watch first run movies while they were undergoing their care. Maybe there’s some sort of donation drive or fundraising you guys could do in his name (when the timing is right)?

@bakerella: That is an awesome idea. When the time is right, suggest something to Fiance so he can pass it on to his family. First you have to find out what he loved, and go from there. I’m so sorry to hear this, it is always devistating to find out a child has passed.

I am so deeply sad to hear this. My heart goes out to you, your Fiance and his cousin’s whole family.

I think bakerella’s idea is a wonderful one.

Also, when Fiance is ready it is always healing to discuss his cousin and remember all his special qualities and memories, rather than avoiding the topic. That can be very healing.

My prayers are with you.
