So my Fiance and I have been together for 6 and a half years. until about a year ago we hadn’t really talked about getting married. I use to be against marriage until I met him 🙂
Well, we have been ring shopping for a while and I have showed him what I like. But we never actually picked out the ring together.
Today be made me breakfast, we watched movies all day and then we decided to go out to dinner at a really nice resturant. He had to run to the store though before we went so he could get bait for fishing in the morning and told me to get ready while he was gone. He came home while I was still getting ready and I was upstairs. He called for me to come down stairs because we had to leave to make our reservation. When I came down staira he was waiting for me on one knee, with candles burning and a bouquet of flowers and pictures set up of us when we were kids and pictures of us throughout our relationship. He told me that he loves me more than anything and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him!
Of course I said yes! 🙂
And he even recorded it!
and to top it all of he pulls out the most beautiful ring that he designed himself based on the different rings I liked. It is exactly what I had in envisioned, but we were never able to find.
The first picture is my Engagement Ring with the promise ring he gave me. The second was after we ate dinner, we went for a walk at the beach. 🙂
excuse my nails 🙁 I’m trying to grow them out after having acrylics.

Aw congrats! My Fiance and I have been together about the same amount of time! Your ring is so beautiful, it’s so sweet that he designed it for you! How did you get such a clear shot in the last pic? I’ve been trying for a couple weeks to get a good shot of mine but that pic is just spectacular!

Gorgeous ring! Amd a very sweet proposal!
Hey if you get annoyed of waiting for your nails to grow all the way until the acrylic comes off, go to Sally’s or any beauty supply store and buy 100% acetone. And a bowl they sell so you can soak your nails in there. It will melt the acetone. Takes a while but that’s how it’s done in most salons anyway.
Enjoy your beautiful ring and happy wedding planning!!!

tea-and-books: thank you! to get that last shot I stood in my kitched where there is really good lighting and tilted the ring box so it made a shadow over the ring. I found that for clear pictures, it comes out better if you take it in a well lighted place but don’t have direct light hitting the top. 🙂

Sporty-Bee: awesome tip! Thank you! I don’t have a lot of experience with acrylics so that helps a lot!

Desilu09: Your promise ring goes so well with your ering! It would be so sweet if you use it as a wedding band.

countingstars: I was thinking the same thing. We can’t deside of we want to use that one or get a different one. I really like mix matched bands. I’m not too big on the matching ones but I do love them together!

Desilu09: You could design a wedding band together using the metal and diamonds from your promise ring. That would be so sweet! Some good custom designers are Amcor, David Klass and Schubach. David Klass is typically the most reasonably priced.
