I completely know what you are talking about getting hit on! I tell me Fiance and he just laughs it off, but sometimes I wish he would get jealous (haha)
I have been cutting this guys hair for almost 2yrs now and he used to be flirtatious before I got the ring, and now he is just balls to the wall hell bent that he is gonna change my mind about getting married. You all know what Im talking about when I say that it is KINDA nice to still get attention from other guys when you have been with the saaaame guy for years (almost 7yrs for us)
So this guy calls, and he texts, and now he gets his hair cut every 14 DAYS…at the same time. Its kinda cute…but somedays I just wanna scream at him that no matter what he does although its amusing, that I am not leaving 🙂

it definitely goes both ways… even moreso when it’s the guy… cuz that’s his WEDDING band… bad girls LOVE going after married men… i think it’s kind of a signage that he’s probably a “GOOD CATCH” if he’s married.
as per the OP, yes, i used to think that the e-ring would keep men away, but if anything they flock more! even when i’m out just grabbing coffee or a cocktail with a gf after work!

I haven’t been out too much in the last year since I’ve been living at home until the wedding, but one of my guy friends told me one night that my ring is just a challenge for a guy.

I’ve definitely found this.
@emilymuchnikoff, that’s so funny! 🙂 I’m left handed and I tend to talk with my hands a lot, so I think sometimes ppl think I’m doing that when I’m actually just talking, lol.

Ah, but women are even worse! When my half was married the first time, he said he never got hit on UNTIL he had a wedding ring. He seems to think women find him “more worthy” with the ring on.
And, um…he is not getting a ring this time

I was at a concert this past weekend, and was trying to get some water from the bar. My Fiance was standing to my right, and this guy to my left bumps into me on purpose and then asks if he can buy me a beer. I declined, looked at my Fiance and then the guy proceeds to ask the bartender over and over for some water for me. Akward!

Wow weird! I feel like ever since I got engaged I have been hit on less! Hahaha…

LMAO @ MandyW – go girl 🙂
Definitely hit on more since the ring, especially by old bfs and people who had peripheral interest before. It’s like a last ditch effort bonanza….and its pretty hilarious, actually!

I definitely agree – it’s funny how it works. I’m a firm believer in the, “Engaged girls just look happier and confident,” theory, but I laughed out loud at the thought of a Last Ditch Effort Bonanza, haha, LOVE IT!

@vfoster03 exactly. this is what my crass guy friends say “she’s already somebody elses problem so it will be just fun for me.”

Men hit on me and I hold up my e-ring and they say ‘well, you arent married yet’, what a turn off!
That’s just gross. Men are such pigs sometimes.

Where I’m from, the women don’t seem to notice mens’ wedding rings. Ah, I think they should pay attention to that a biiiiit more.
The ex bf called again last week to say he heard we’re getting married in august. He then goes on to say how/why/he failed me or why we didn’t work out and took all the blame for it and I was like ????? why now???? He said he was really sorry and did miss me. It honestly freaked me out and I got off phone really really quick. Before I hung up I said, well that’s nice, but I’m really happy. then he asked if he was getting INVITED. I said “um…no, that’s not appropriate.”

UHHHH omg bellenga! i SO know what you’re talking about! why do exes think they’re on the list.
and yea, i get hit on just as much if not more now. AND they SEE the ring and ASK about it!!! wtf? i even had one guy ask f i was marrying a lawyer or a doctor (jesus my ring isnt THAT big!…ok that sounds bad, my ring is BIG but not CRAZY expensive)
i wonder if we look like more of a challenge with a ring on??
