SO said “hey want to go in there and look at some watches”? But once we finished the watches he asked if I wanted to look at some other “stuff”. Well…it was super weird because I hate being on the spot, but I’m glad he initiated it himself! We only spent about 10 minutes in the store and I told him I didn’t really like anything except for the plain 6 prong solitaire. (I’m not a fan of all the mall chain stores because they just don’t have what I like). But I told him there is an independent store I would like to go to sometime if he wants! I’ve been there alone and have found a few I like! Can’t wait to show him! I think I will be a little more comfortable there also. If you have seen any of my other posts my SO told me we could look if I didn’t get too excited, so when we got in the store he reminded me of that and I told him I was having a horrible time HAHA. Love him and I know he’s not quite ready yet but this is a good step
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!

Yay! That’s a great first step! That’s similar to what my Darling Husband did and he proposed a few months later.

I like your title, he sorta took me ring shopping lmao. We went on an exploritory trip last year because we both wanted to be clear on what the other likes. Granted it’s MY ring but he is shelling out the cash and I want it to be something he loves/is proud of also, ya know?? We looked at pricing (because we had no idea until that point) sized both of our fingers for reference and I tried on a few solitaires so we could get a feel for center stone size. If he wasn’t wanting to buy you a ring in t he future, a man would’ve NEVER let this “sorta ring shopping scenario” happen lol. PROGRESS! 🙂

Woo! At least he took the first step. What is it about waiting that makes not getting ahead of yourself so hard?

Baby steps are good! Glad you are making a little progress.

That’s awesome! My SO did something similar last Friday. We were at the mall food court having lunch and without any eye contact was like “So… I mean, there’s jewelry stores here. We can look at rings if you want…”
I nearly DIED.
So we looked in Zales and the sweetest lady ever helped us try on some engagement rings. I tried on some plain band solitaires and liked them, but then she had me put on a princess cut solitaire with pave diamonds on the band and I couldn’t stop smiling! SO smiled too and the lady was like “I think we found it guys!”
Great experience, I can’t wait for him to go back and get it! And I can’t wait to read your inevitable engagement post 🙂
