Why don’t you just pick all family members so not to offend any friends?

Fiance & I initially had this disagreement, in the reverse situation. A few weeks later, when I brought it up again, he was able to throw out four names (I could only come up with three I felt right about). I’m not sure if it was the thinking it over that did it, or the realization that this was an aspect of the wedding that I wanted.

I really appreciated his willingness to go traditional in that regard, fwiw.

Just to bring up a point, the sizes of the bridal party don’t have to match. Or you don’t have to have maids if you really dont want them, just line up the guys on either side.

I chose not to have bridesmaids and my fiance then decided himself not to have groomsmen. They will all be on the batchelor party and that but wont have an official role in the wedding.

I didnt mind if he had them I just really did not want bridesmaids.

Besides a best man speech and where people stand at the ceremony I don’t really pay much attention to the groomsmen anyway, as they do not stand out as much as bridesmaids for obvious reasons 😉

Please don’t feel pressured into having them, I don’t think everyone HAS to have them. Does he understand why you feel this way?
