Actually adding maroon accents would be great for your colors in fall! That jacket is awesome

My friends wedding colours are navy and wine. The boys will be in navy and the girls in the wine colour.

You guys could just do the opposite. I think those colours are in right now and if you look at Pinterest you can get lots on inspiration.

I’m glad PPs gave you some photo examples–I think a rich wine/berry/maroon color would look amazing with blush and navy, especially for a fall wedding.

mrs0215:  Maroon goes with blush and navy, especially for fall. I don’t see anything wrong with it. You guys will look great!

I actually think burgendy would look really nice with your colors!! He could tie in the navy/blush with a fuinky tie and/or pocket square – plus your boutineires will match the girls too!

I think it will work perfectly with your color scheme.  Let the groomsmen wear navy, your girls wear blush or navy, and you and him can wear a contrasting color. He can wear his maroon, while you wear white/ivory if your girls are in blush, or blush if your girls are in navy.  Make him feel special too!  I hate when the groom blends in with the groomsmen.

Marsala and Blush are a very common color combo now. I really think you could find a shade of navy that would go as well.

Don’t worry too much…and try to compromise! I was all set on a full lace dress, but the day before going dress shopping, I was browsing gowns, saw a lace one I liked, and showed my fiance. Doesn’t he say “ugh I don’t like that one at all! But then again, I don’t really like any dresses that have all that lace.” Oops! He had no idea I liked lace! So when I went shopping, I told the staff that I didn’t mind lace accents, but to stear clear of full lace dresses. Ended up trying on a few with lots of lace and hated them once I saw them on me! Now I have a beautiful satin dress, with lace cap sleeves 🙂
In terms of colour, I have my heart set on poppies for my bouquet (we met in Europe at the 65th Anniversery of the end of WWII), so I was thinking of a red, white, and black colour pallet. So I ask him his opinion on colour (didn’t tell him what I was thinking) and doesn’t the jerk go “well I like blue!” So now we’re doing red, white, and black, with pops of cobalt blue.

Remember, this day is the beginning of a lifetime of decisions and the need to compromise…if that’s a struggle for one day, think about how stressful bigger decisions, like a house, or whether to have kids will be!

(NOTE: this is advice to everyone…not just you! You WANT to compromise. Lol)

This is my color scheme, which includes burgundy, blush, and navy! I think it could work 🙂

By the way, navy is considerd to be a neutral, and tends to me mix well with other colors.

I think all of those colors look great if you use transitional shades like lavender and gray. People do color schemes like that all time these days and they awesome.
