Anybody been sick in their first trimester?? I have a TERRIBLE head cold. Called my doctor and there’s not much I can do, just fluids, rest and make sure my temperature doesn’t get too high.
I was also told I could take Children’s Tylenol (couldn’t find regular Tylenol at the pharmacy and just bought this). I have taken it twice. My temp has been between 98.8 and 99.8 since yesterday afternoon.
Anyone have any encouraging words? I’m 10 weeks and scared. 🙁

I had a miserable cold at 10 weeks, too! I have a small list of approved medications, but I was too scared to take any of them, so I just toughed it out. Fluids and rest is really all you can do.
But don’t be scared. Remember that while you feel like crap, your baby is doing just fine in there and not sick at all! You’re bearing the brunt of it for your peanut.
Not to make you feel worse, but since I have been pregnant, I have caught every single bug that is going around. Pre-pregnancy, I was sick maybe once a year. They aren’t kidding when they talk about pregnant women being immuno-compromised.
Hang in there! And try not to worry!

As my doctor told me when I was pregnant and had a terrible cold . . . your body is doing everything to grow and protect your baby so you get the left overs, which aren’t much to speak of at that point. Tough it out, you and baby will be just fine. I had my cold when I went into labor. Try having all the nurses tell you to breathe through your nose when you literally can’t since it is all stuffed up!
