It looks like they just alternate:

    – a pickup of the tulle just a few inches down from the top edge of the tulle raised to the  edge of the table, then

    –  a pickup about 2 feet from the bottom edge of the tulle raised only to the middle of the table.

You could use brooches for the accent pieces with rhinestone beading draped between the top brooches.

I think you get a lot more impact doing a lot of something in one color. I would do pool color tulle with silver brooches and bead draping.

Rule of thumb for tulle is 2-3 times the length of the table. You will want to add on the width of the table x 2 so you can do the ends. I would buy 3 x the length as tulle is so reasonably priced.

The 54″ wide rolls will give the width you need to do the draping.

Chiffon works best.  You need about a 60 inch wide fabric.  You could use a window scarf about 216 inches long and sew a pocket along the edge.  Run a ribbon or sting inside the pocket.  Gather it by pulling the string/ribbon and pinning it to a table along the gather at the top.  next find some brooches, pins, or I bought some inexpensive small flowers at hobby lobby and hot glued a brooch pin onto the flowers.  Pull up a little fabic and pin, alternating the height with every pin.  Stand back and, enjoy the view.  To your question, if organza will work, it will, but it will not have the same soft look as chiffon.  Go to ebay and search window scarfs.  They come in every color.

    Good Luck,

    Mary
