There is a big mirror directly behind the head table at my reception. I’m concerned that it will ruin pictures of my Fiance and myself. Do you think the mirror will make pics impossible at the head table? Is it necessary for me to shell out 600.00 for a backdrop?! Any advice! Thanks 🙂

Is it attached to the wall or is it a framed mirror? Are you allowed to take it down?:
If you can’t take it down
All of the pics will show your guests refleceted in the mirror if it is hung flat to the wall.
If it is framed ,you could try tilting the mirror upwards a little by placing something behind the bottom edge.
Or find something to cover the mirror with.
Recipe for removeable frosting:
Empty the contents of a bottle or can of lite beer into a glass bowl
Add one quarter cup of Epsom salts
- Allow the Epsom salts to completely dissolve in the lite beer. Use a small artists brush to paint small detailed pictures or a large wide brush to paint the entire window for privacy. You can also use a stencil and create an entire scene.
To remove the decorative window frosting, spray the glass with a 50-50 solution of white vinegar and water then wipe with newspaper. You can also use your favorite window cleaner. Follow with a soft cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to take away any dull streaks.

I don’t think it will make it impossible, but it will be trickier and your photographer will have to have good understanding of angles and lighting. Any candids that your guests take of you probably will not be the best. $600 is pricey! Would plain white draping be cheaper?
Can you search for other weddings at your venue and see what other couples did?

Its is attached to the wall flat. So the consensus is I need to cover it? All the weddings the venue has pictures of has a backdrop for the head table. I will ask if I can provide a backdrop of my own or cover it up myself. I think 600 is just too much, but I also dont want my pics not to turn out. Thanks for the suggestions.
