So I ordered both a head piece and a flower crown. At heart I am a bit of a flower child. I always loved the idea of looking natural and fairy-like on my wedding day. My whole wedding is natural-esk. My center pieces vary from cut wood slices with flower filled bird cages to tall trees with crystal drops, candles and fresh flower blooms. The centerpieces will all be slightly different. The trees will be in galvonized buckets and filled with moss. Also there will be random elecletic vases filled with wild flower blooms and peonies.
My dilema is my dress is not so natural looking. Its got a bit more glam than i originally planned. I do plan on wearing both the flower crown and the head piece. I just cant decide when to where each one. I am also wearing a veil, to complicatematters more 🙂
So I need opinions on which to where and when to wear it.
Here is the flower crown (that the florist is copying with fresh flowers in ivory).

This is the headpiece (it mimics my dress and veil with having cluters of pearls).
My dress & veil (the beckline will be modified to a sweet heart). This is pictures with the headpiece on.

@SparkleBee11: Personally, I am in love with the headpiece and would just wear that for the whole day, but since it seems like you’ll have both, wearing them both would be great too! 🙂

I would wear the headpiece for the ceremony with the veil because the whole look is so lovely! And then I personally would take the veil off and switch to the flowers for the reception!

I’m partial to flower crowns (I had one) so I would just wear that!!! It would soften up your dress a little (not that it needs it, but if you’re going for the more romantic looks vs. super glam…)

@SparkleBee11: Wow you look stunning in that dress! I really love the headpiece so much more and think it compliments the dress perfectly! I would just do the headpiece only!

Thanks for all the answers!
@weddingbound: Thank you! I know the headpiece fits the dress way better! Its just one of those chidhood dreams- to have flowers in my hair at my wedding! I dont know where that idea stems from but I always knew that I had to have flowers in my hair.
@RedRose1979: I know.. it is definitely not very bridal in that picture. But I think with white flowers and less green it would look way more bridal. Plus it will be real flowers which have a much softer look than those plastic ones. I do agree the headpiece is more traditional and matches better.
@lolot: I do think flower crowns are much more romantic than metal and plastic beading too.
@pengoala: I think for the majority of time Ill have the headpiece on and maybe for a bit have the flowercrown mixed in somewhere, some how- just for a bit.

@SparkleBee11: In all honesty, I don’t think the flower crown matches the style of your dress at at. I would stick with the headband, it flows better. Sorry 🙁

@SparkleBee11: I am an all for flowers girl to! I am planning to wear something like this:

But I have to agree, saying that the head piece suits you dress better :/ If you want to use both, I would wear the flowers at the ceremony, with the veil, and then remove the veil and flowers and wear the headpiece at the reception.

I vote headpiece only unless you change to a flowier, boho style dress at the reception to match the flower crown
