Long-time lurker, first time poster. Remember the wonderxue fiasco from a few months ago? (Cliffsnotes version: A Chinese seller named Yuan Chen was running a shady operation through etsy and was yanked from the site, leaving dozens of brides out hundreds of dollars and without dresses. Those who did receive dresses seemed to get shoddily-made nightmares.) It looks like she might be back in the game.
I was searching for dresses online and came across a website called “Princessly.” “Princessly” appears to be selling dresses from a line called “Avivaly.” A quick google search shows that they’re the same company. So that’s sketchy. They also describe themselves as “A US – China company,” which may also be sketchy depending on your opinion of Chinese dresses.
But more importantly, the dresses are the exact same ones that were being sold by wonderxue, down to the same model and the same background in the photos. The dresses have cutesy names now, like the “Nicola” and the “Musica,” and the English on the website is way more coherent, but they’re the exact same ones.
I don’t know if this means wonderxue was ripping off pictures from this website, or if this website is a new front for her business now that she’s been removed from etsy, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew. Whether you buy your dress online or not, remember to do your research and be careful, ladies!
