You’re more likely to smell it if you saute or pan sear it, baking it in the oven doesn’t release as much of a smell. For the people saying fish doesn’t release a smell… EVERYTHING releases a smell when you cook it, but the people cooking don’t really notice it. If you leave the room and come back your kitchen is going to smell like whatever you just cooked, be it soup, crab legs, fish, bacon, etc. Some people are also more sensitive to smell than others too. It shouldnt smell like ROTTEN fish.. but there will be somewhat of an odor. I usually open my kitchen window and clean the pan as soon as I’m done cooking it and it doesn’t smell any more. Also use an exhaust fan over your stove (if you have one) thats the best way to avoid cooking smells.
