I weaned myself off of sugar. I love sweets, but after going without them for 2 weeks now, chocolate doesn’t even appeal to me. I know if I indulge once I’ll be back to square one, but enjoying it for now.

I also found a peach tea that gives some sweetness but doesn’t make me want to bake cookies to go along with it.

I’m addicted to clementines. We always have at least 2 boxes of cuties in the fridge and I just grab a couple whenever I have the munchies.

If you want something nice in the evening, try a square of super dark chocolate and a finger of bourbon (not as caloric as wine).  Bourbon has a very slight sweetness to it and generally goes well with chocolate (I think, personally).

And if you want to just have something to munch on – definitely popcorn.  But do the old-fashioned stove-top kind.  It’s almost as quick as the microwave and way better since it doesn’t have any additives or fake butter flavor chemical in it (you can optionally add a bit of REAL melted butter).

Or if you have hunger pangs between meals and don’t want to snack, have a glass of 2% or whole milk – it kills hunger pangs right away so you’re less likely to kill the hunger pangs with far less healthy stuff like sweets and junk food.
