I often find that I crave some snacks throughout the day. If I’m craving salt I will usually make kale chips with salt/pepper and I’ve tried having sweeter teas to appease my sweet cravings. This hasn’t been satisfying me recently.
What are your go-to healthy snacks when you’re having either salt or sweet cravings?

Sweet – fruit, gum
Salty – string cheese, 100 calorie pack, or popcorn
I know someone who will just put salt on their lips and eat it that way!

For a salty snack, I tend to be a fan of Chex Mix or Pretzels — both of which are pretty low in calories for the volume of food you eat per serving (especially the pretzels). I also enjoy sliced cucumbers with salt and pepper sprinkled on top. Oh, and Diamond’s Roasted Salted Almonds.
For sweet, one cup of grapes seem to do the trick, and is a satisfying snack.

Fruit: Apples or oranges.
Salty: I love nuts, like pistachios, almonds. They’re full of good fats and oils, plus lightly salted satisfies my salt craving.

Hummus with vegetables. It is my super food. The garlic hummus has just enough salt to satisfy those cravings and if you are desperate a few pita chips won’t kill you.

I agree with @Treejewel19:, hummus is one of my go-to’s lately (there’s a great recipe for it available for download here). Another one that I like to do is cut up and onion and cook it in a little olive oil in a pan on the stove salting it every so often. It’s carmelized onions with no added sugars. I prefer to use normal onions for it to sweet onions because I don’t like how sweet and soft the sweet onions are when cooked, but that’s my personal preferance.
