Current Weight: 150 lbs

Goal Weight: 135 lbs

Height: 5’7″

Goal Date: By my wedding (3/9/19) I guess, but I really just want to stick with healthier habits, so no hard and fast date. 

Weight loss so far: 12 lbs. At my heighest I was 162 lbs. The past few months my weight has been fluctuating between 145 and 150.  

Reason: Wedding/just want to feel healthy. 

Program: My program for the last 6 months has essentially been nothing. I walked 8+ miles a day and did a lot of heavy lifting at my job 6 days a week. Now I’m at a more sedentary job, so I want to get back into crossfit 4x a week and healthy eating habits. Goal for this week is to sign up for classes. 

Eating style: Right now like a pig. I would like to get back to lots of fresh veggies, lean protein, and limited good carbs. 

Fav. Healthy Snack: Granny Smith apples and almond butter

Favourite Exercise: Powerlifting

Struggled this week with: Self control around junk food. My FH eats whatever he wants in giant portions and I struggle to control myself around all the snacks!

Did awesome this week with: Not eating out. So far, we have cooked healthy dinners each night.

Current Weight: 160 lbs

Goal Weight: 150 lbs

Height: 6’1

Goal Date: No set date but before the new year

Weight loss so far: I got down to 155 lbs for wedding but bounced back up to 160 lbs. 

Reason: I feel most confident at my goal weight

Program: Use my Fitbit and myfitness pal to track calories exercised and consumed

Eating style: Mostly whole grains, lean meats, and fruits and veggies. No simple carbs and fast food.

Fav. Healthy Snack: Hummus and veggies

Favourite Exercise: Running with my dog

Struggled this week with: Insomnia. Makes me eat more during the night. 

Did awesome this week with: Getting over 15,000 steps per day.

Current Weight: 233lbs (ish, havent weighed myself since mid August)

Goal Weight: 160ish? 

Height: 5’6″

Goal Date: Whenever I get there 🙂

Weight loss so far: 8 lbs in 6 weeks

Reason: I feel uncomfortable all the time. Miss my old clothes and hate feeling like I’m popping out of everything. I want to be proud of myself and the way I treat my body. I’m tired of being self-conscious

Program: Doing an intensive program through “Cake, Yes Please” that I thought was all about macros and workouts, and turned out to be much more about loving yourself where you’re at with a side of teaching us why our bodies respond the way they do & what to do to get where we want to be. Exactly what I needed but would have never signed up for!

Eating style: macro tracking; very little processed food. The goal is to eat food my body recognizes as food!

Fav. Healthy Snack: Apple or celery & PB

Favourite Exercise: Yoga!!

Struggled this week with: snacking on chocolate 

Did awesome this week with: Yoga! I got up 20 mins early every morning and did yoga. Even did extra on my days off and it felt great! My back and hips feel 100X better

Current Weight: 213 lbs

Goal Weight: 140 lbs

Height: 5’4″

Goal Date: Would like to reach my goal by our 1-year anniversary (June 1st) but not going to put too much pressure on a timeline as long as I am making progress

Weight loss so far: 15 lbs from my highest weight (lost 22 lbs prior to our wedding, have put 7 back on since!)

Reason: Long-term health, feeling better/more energetic, being at a healthy weight when we’re reading to TTC

Program: Nothing specific. Eat well and exercise. 

Eating style: Mostly fresh fruit and vegetables, protein. Everything else in moderation.

Fav. Healthy Snack: Carrots and grapes

Favourite Exercise: Treadmill/walking the neighborhood

Struggled this week with: Eating/drinking too much. We were traveling for a wedding and things really went off the rails! 

Did awesome this week with: Deciding today that there would be no more excuses. Got rid of all the bad stuff in the house and went shopping for only healthy foods/snacks. Dug my Fitbit out of the back of my nightstand. Reached out to the bees for support (I’ve never been able to admit I was struggling with my weight or even tell anyone my weight before!).

Current Weight: 240

Goal Weight: 160ish

Height: 5’8

Goal Date: May 2019. I probably won’t get totally there, but I plan to lose as much as I can before our first wedding anniversary.

Weight loss so far: 5 lbsish

Reason: We want to start TTC asap!

Program: Counting calories pretty much

Eating style: I eat all of the things. Hence why I’m here! I am very busy and often resort to microwave meals during the week sadly. Trying to do more cooking.

Fav. Healthy Snack: Broccoli with low fat dip, or apples and peanut butter.

Favourite Exercise: Walking, although I just got a bicycle and I’m enjoying that too.

Struggled this week with: Getting back on track. In-laws moving in with us (temporarily) and the labor day weekend threw us off track.

Did awesome this week with: Quitting caffeine! Now just have to cut out the caffeine free soda too.

Current Weight: 80.5kg (177)

Goal Weight: 70kg (154lbs)

Height: 170cm (5’6)

Goal Date: I hope to lose maybe 5kg by November (dress fitting), and the remaining 5kg by the wedding in August 2019.

Weight loss so far: 10kg/22lbs (starting weight after Chrismas = 90.5kg (199.5lbs)

Reason: The wedding. Also…I have God awful genetics (I am the smallest female on my Dad’s side…out of 12 cousins), and a heap of muscle (strength training for 5 years). I want to lose fat, so it’s not necessarily “weight” I want to lose, but specifically “fat”. But I know I need to be realistic about what my body can do, and anything under 70kgs is unrealistic (currently a size 12AU (8US))

Program: Strength training 3x days per week, cardio 1x day per week

Eating style: 90% vegetarian/vegan food. No dairy. Vegan protein with iron/probiotic supps, along side IF 16/8. 

Fav. Healthy Snack: So boring, so don’t judge: porridge (oatmeal) cooked with 30% soy milk, 70% water, topped with a heap of honey. Most people find it bland, I find it gives me the hint of sweetness I crave to keep me away from junk food.

Favourite Exercise: Strength training and running.

Struggled this week with: THEY JUST CAME OUT WITH KITKAT GOLD IN AUSTRALIA. The struggle is real ERRYDAY, as it’s the tastiest thing on the planet. I also have a grocery store 40 metres from my front door which is a curse more than it is a blessing.

Did awesome this week with: NOT HAVING KITKAT GOLD SINCE SUNDAY wooooo! 

No really, I was averaging one a day since they came out.

Goal Date: Feb 2019

Weight loss so far: 50 pounds. I had lost 80 pounds but I’ve gained back 30 :/

Reason: I miss how good I felt at 165. I was unstoppable lol

Program: no specific program

Eating style: whole natural foods. lowish carbs 

Fav. Healthy Snack: right now I’m addicted to peaches

Favourite Exercise: does walking count?

Struggled this week with: Eating out last weekend

Did awesome this week with: Started wearing my fitbit again

Reason: pre-wedding events & wedding, to feel good and comfortable with myself 

Program: Intermittent fasting, gym 4x a week 

Fav. Healthy Snack: fruit 🙂 

Favourite Exercise: walking, strength training, group ex. 

Struggled this week with: craving the bad carbs (ex. pasta, chips) 

Did awesome this week with: going to the gym everyday!

Good morning weight loss Bees!  I hope you don’t mind if I post a normal chat post in addition to the check-in list.  I’m excited because I ordered these PlanetBox bento style lunch boxes to bring my lunch to work and they’re arriving today.  They’re expensive, but I find I follow through with weight loss and healthy eating better if my meals are visually pleasing, so hopefully they’re worth it.  I’m going to work on planning some lunches to go in the box this weekend – any tips you have on satisfying work lunches for someone who doesn’t love salad would be much appreciated!

Favourite Exercise: Leg and Glute day! Anyting that makes the buns burn!

Struggled this week with: Getting up early to do cardio

Did awesome this week with: Drank alot of water and made it to the gym 4x so far

yupweredoingthis :  Nice! It is a great progam! I will have a one-on-one chat with her soon to nail down my macros and some specific goals, but in the first 2-3 weeks I can already feel my mentality shifting from “gotta be skinny to be lovable” to “I’m doing this because I love my body & it deserves to be fed food it needs”. I havent lost any weight in the last 3 weeks, but I feel better mentally and that huge for me.
