How is everyone’s weight loss going?

I lost 2.7 lbs last week so I’m feeling pretty confident going into this week πŸ˜€

hikingbride :  I lost a half a pound last week bringing me to 38 total lost this year! I also ran my first 5k Saturday at a time of 44 min (Not a fast time but it was my first attempt at running the majority of a 5k). Great job on 2.7 pounds, thats an awesome weekly loss!!!

hikingbride :   Well done you!! That’s awesome!!

Ive had a rubbish week. For the last 5 days I’ve been at some Spanish fiestas which involves no sleep, a lot of drink and a lot of eating junk. Fun…but I don’t think my waistline approves, haha

Back to work tomorrow so back to a routine and I can hopefully sort this shit out. Haha

happybridetobe1988 :  You can do it! My only goal was to finish in under 45 and I barely made it, but I pushed for it. I would recommend doing a program like couch to 5k. I primarily ran intervals and worked my way up to longer running intervals and shorter walking intervals.

beevincent18 :  Congrats on running a 5K! I’m hoping one day I can work my way up to a half marathon but right now I’m just working on trying to get to 3 miles by doing lots of interval training. Also 38 lbs is amazing progress!

Ahhhh help me! It’s goldenrod season and I have been ridiculously sick with allergies for the last, like, 8 days. I haven’t exercised ONCE except for some measly weight lifting last night out of antsy feet. I can’t stop sneezing!

To help, I’ve been really scrutinizing what I put in my mouth, but I fear I’ve gained weight. Not sure when I’ll feel better, either πŸ™

beevincent18 :  That’s awesome! Running a 5K is one of my goals.

I have not weighed myself today but as of yesterday I had lost 2 lbs. I started off strong on Wednesday/Thursday then by Friday realized what I was doing wasn’t going to be sustainable long-term for me. So, I’m easing into dieting (still eating a healthy amount of calories, just haven’t gone nuclear with cutting out bread/dairy/alcohol like I planned). And I could definitely do a lot better with exercising (though the elevator in our building is out-of-order so I’m being strong-armed into walking 4 flights of stairs a few times a day).

2 lbs in 2 weeks is great!

I’m down 9 lbs this month. My official weekly weigh-in day is tomorrow but I’m guessing it won’t be down much because I didn’t do a good job of watching my sodium this week so I’m holding on to some water weight.

I ran a total of 22 miles this month and have been doing strength training 2x a week for the past two weeks. I’m still not really enjoying my workouts but I’m dreading them less so I guess that’s progress? I’ve decided to add daily morning yoga to my routine in October so I’m excited to start that on Monday.
