@GFerg:  Ditto the stuffed bell peppers. I stuff ours with whatever meat I’ve bought on sale (shredded chicken or ground turkey), brown rice, black beans, and corn. I top it with a teensy bit of Monterey Jack cheese. I got the recipe off skinnytaste.com. She has posted several variations! They make great leftovers to microwave the next day as well.

@doxielove:  We absolutely love it. If there’s a recipe in there that doesn’t sound that great to us, we just buy double the ingredients for one of the recipes for another night… but that rarely happens! They post great recipes and it takes all the guesswork out of meal planning, budgeting, and sales. The recipes are pretty fast too – I’d say nearly always under 30 minutes, most on the 15 minute side.

@ellebeerob:  how cool! I love the idea of being guided by healthy ambition AND local sales… and its like less than a dollar a week!

Which plan do you subscribe to?

How bout you,

@KimmySumShuga:  We have done both clean eating for two at Kroger, and low fat for two at Kroger. We started our trial membership with low fat for two at WalMart, but our WalMart doesn’t have great produce so we switched. All three were good.

@KimmySumShuga:   You’re welcome! Me and my DH have really loved it so far and we’ve been on it for about a month and a half.

@ellebeerob:   Did you find that Kroger didn’t have a lot of the produce/spices/grains that were needed for Clean Eating?  I get SO annoyed at our Kroger because they don’t carry everything that my menu calls for.

@KateByDesign:  We have to drive to the Kroger that’s a little farther away. At our regular Kroger they didn’t have everything, and that was kind of annoying!

Not sure if this has been said (didn’t read all the responses) but my favorite is baked ziti.  Whole grain pasta, lean ground turkey, add your favorite sauce, top with low fat mozarella cheese (or go without) bake at 350 for at least 20 minutes, voila.

You can also add mushrooms and/or other veggies if you want.  My mom mixes onions and garlic in with the meat when she’s cooking it for more flavor.
