@Mrs.SleepyKitty: I have a ring freak out almost every day! I have lots of pave stones in my ring and everytime I hit my ring on something I say a little prayer that none of them fell out. So far so good!!

@Mrs.SleepyKitty: I did the same.. but I kept freaking out that I wouldn’t still like it! But then I realized I do love it! Just try to minimize it… hehe. It won’t be as fun when you receive it if you keep looking at it πŸ˜‰

@Fallicious1012: <— She has a point! I know it’s hard but quit peeking until he proposes and I bet it’ll be even sweeter when it’s yours full time!

Haha I was doing the same thing till I got caught and scolded! It’s now hidden away till I get it for real. Fingers crossed I get mine soon, I’m very impatient!

@ane7: I wake up earlier than my fiance… and i would put it on when for a minute or two while i was getting ready for work. one day i put it on and went into the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror (lame, i know, but come on… we all do it!). and my fiance woke up to go to the bathroom!! luckily our bedroom door has a tiny creak and I heard it…. both doors are caddy corner… and i had like 1 second to shove it in my pocket. i must have looked like a deer in headlights, but fi is not a morning person, he never noticed. And I never told!!! he thinks i never looked at it… i will hold this to the grave! πŸ™‚

that is hilarious. how do so many of the bees know WHERE the future ring is?!! When my SO buys it, I don’t think he would EVER keep it anywhere in the house where I would potentially find it. And trust me, I’ve opened a few drawers and peeked…..nothin! LOL. THat’s too funny, I would probably visit it everyday!

I did the same thing as you and actually noticed brown spots on the white gold.  I convinced my then bf to let me take it back in and get it re-dipped (it was some kind of mess-up on the rhodium plating) before he proposed πŸ˜€

@Mrs.SleepyKitty:  Oh my goodness, I’m glad I came across this thread because I had a freak-out moment too and I’m glad it’s just not me!  My freak-out moment was went I was looking at my ring closely for inspection and I saw I black marking on it!  I thought it was an indent and I damaged the center stone.  I was so scared to tell my Fiance and just when I was planning to go to the jeweler, something prompted me to clean it using the jewelry cleaning solution the jeweler gave us.  Low and below, the black marking turned out to be just dirt, LOL.  It turned out that it just needed some cleaning.
