As long as you get the powder on the ink before the ink dries,  you can wait to heat them up.  It’s better to do it that way if you want to do it in a assembly line.

I agree, as long as you get the powder on the ink right away, you can wait as long as you need to before heating it up. When I did my programs and envelopes, I did them in sets of about 8. Saved time with my heating tool as well, to line them all up close together and heat them all at once.
