You could always incorporate another color to the tiffany blue, maybe an orange or pink? Those were my colors and they looked amazing together, especially since you are having an Destination Wedding in mexico. $10,000 is A LOT of money in decorations and were you to actually sell them all, i doubt you would get all of the money back.

how much would you have to sell to get your color scheme?

for me if more than a 1K I would suck it up and keep my original plan. That is a lot of money and you wont make back what you spend. I would guess you would be lucky to make back 50-60% of your original cost. So you would be throwing money away.

If you only get back 50% of your cost, then you would be spending 15K for 10K of decorations. Increasing your budget by 50%

I agree with @JemmyGee:.  If you already have that amount of money invested into items of that color scheme for your wedding, you may want to re-evaluate your decision to switch to a different color palette.

My wedding colors were Caribbean-sea blue, platinum, and champagne/gold, and my flowers were pale pinks, white, and pale greens. The colors mixed beautifully together.

@Jilliankelly:  I agree with the other posters on tiffany blue with hints of pink. The silver you menioned would even work in nicely. Heres some visual inspiration:

Hi Jillian,

Congrats on the baby AND the upcoming wedding ๐Ÿ™‚

I know this is prob not what you want to hear…but I say to stick wtih your original colors. ๐Ÿ™‚  When I was planning my wedding, my married friends (or anyone married) would tell me…none of it really matters as far as food choices or colors or themes or whatever.  And now that my wedding day has come and gone, I’d agree with them!  I mean, yes of course as a bride, you want what you want and you should get it, but at the end of the day, its just colors and 10k is A LOT of money.

You’ll still have a gorgeous wedding with your original colors.  That day, to be honest, you probably wont even notice the decorations.  Your guests wont know that you wanted other colors either…they’ll be there to see you…in a mansion in mexico…which im sure is gorgeous no matter what colors the decorations are!

I wouldn’t stress over colors and having to deal with selling off and then repurchasing all new stuff.  It’ll be great regardless if its blue, silver and white or light green and pink ๐Ÿ™‚

@vargastl: It’s hard not to be over excited and anxious about wedding details. Reviving all these old posts can get a bit repetitive though.

You can click on the Bee’s name and see when she was last on the site. Many of the OP’s have not been in WeddingBee for months. You can also click on message and send them a private message if they are still current members.

Posting the same request on every post from the past that mentioned tiffany blue or coral is not likely to be any more productive than just one post in the Classifieds. That’s where sellers will be looking for buyers.

I already suggested Adhuntr  to check all the Craigslist ads at one time in one of your other posts. You can also check Tradesy.
