I was very excited when i went to a local yardsale over the weekend. I found 48 votive candle holders, and paid $3.00 for all of them! Now all i have to do is burn the old candles out of them and clean them. I have half of them done so far, its just a pain in the butt but in my opinion, well worth it!

Don’t waste your time burning them. Fill your sink with hot water and place them in. Within minutes the wax will fall out.

If you put them in the freezer, the wax will shrink and come right off the glass!

Well i finally got them all cleaned, by the end i was getting frustated. I tried putting them in the freezer because someone else suggested it also. It didnt work. The metal wick piece of the candle was glued in the bottom of the holder. I guess that they came full with candles. Oh well its all done now.

@RachelAB90 YAY! for future reference (like after the wedding) the easiest way to get them out is turning on your sink to hot water and letting it run/overflow the votives… eventually the candle comes loose and will float to the top. Only tip is be careful not to burn yourself 😉
