Alright, now we have done alot so far! We have done our morning rehearsal, put our make-up on while the boys put their tuxes on, taken pre-ceremony pictures with our Bridal Party and had our first look. After that there were family pictures with each of us seperatly but those aren’t the super interesting ones that you guys want to see. Now it is time for the ceremony! The whole reason we are here!
What you wont see, unfortunately is the Bridal Party couples walking together. They did this really neat thing in which they came from two seperate sides and met in the middle and then walked down the aisle. I never got to see it but I was told it looked great. I also noticed that in every picture of me walking down and back from the aisle I am breathing… I knew I did it walking down the aisle to keep from balling my eyes out. I didn’t realize I did it so much! You do kinda forget everything but him walking down that aisle. Oh well.
At one point during the ceremony the rabbi used my maiden name… and pronounced it wrong! It is such an easy name su mispronounced so much. And when he did I couldn’t stop laughing. It was only too fitting that the last time my maiden name would be used, it be pronounced wrong. You can even see the look on my fathers face of “of course he pronounced it wrong… but it’s funny”.
The greatest part was when Mr. Hedgie got to “stomp the shit out of that glass” (as he puts it). That was the part of the ceremony I think he was looking forward to the most. And when it came time… he really did stomp the shit out of that glass. Apparently he never heard it break and kept stomping on it! He looked like a maniac! It was hillarious. Turns out, it was just a lightbulb that he had broken into so many pieced by the time he was done, where were glass fragments all over the stairs! I wish we had video of it. If I couldn’t stop laughing about the last name thing, you can imagine how I was at this!
And when we were leaving, I took one big breath and smiled like crazy the rest of the way down but we didn’t get any of the after breath pictures because the photographers ran out the doors to take pictures of us coming out! Ah, they are still awesome pictures!
Also, for those who don’t know, we did have a Rabbi and a Minister (my father) because Mr. Hedgie is Jewish and I am Christian. We also had a chuppah (hand-made by my parents) and a unity candle as well as many other blended things. So, it’s like two weddings in one! And I haven’t stopped hearing how perfectly blended and beautiful it was. I mean, it was new and exciting for both sides and it took MONTHS for us to get it to where we wanted it to be, so it feels good to hear such wonderful things!
Okay, I will stop talking and start showing pictures!
Group Bridal Party Pictures next! Am I doing too many? Possibly, but I can’t get over how awesome things turned out!
