hmmm, may i ask what this is for? are you not serving alcohol at all, or is this just the option for the non-drinkers? if your answer is the latter, i think regular drinks like iced tea and lemonade would suffice.
Oooh, I have some.
Cranberry juice, pomegranate, and 7up or sprite. Very yummy.
Or you can use any juice concentrate cans from the freezer sections, but replace the called for water with seltzer or soda water. It makes for bubbly juices that feel festive and taste great!
As for the wedding itself, we’ll have the usual variety of sodas, tea, water, milk (soy/2%, whatever), and anything alcoholic will by on a ‘bring it yourself” basis. (well, except for our cabin which will have a decently stocked selection for anyone who IS NOT family and especially the wedding party).
Disclaimer: HIS family are Mormons and his parents (and his sister) especially do NOT believe in drinking and have a very strong opinion against it.
Do you mix the cranberry juice, pomegranate, and 7up or sprite together?
What about a regular Arnold Palmer or Arnold Palmer on the Beach?
Lemonade, Iced Tea (sweet tea if you want to go “Southern Style”), and Mango if you want the “on the beach” part
**edit** just recalled that some Mormons avoid caffeine, in which case you might want to note to use caffeine-free tea or something as most black teas do have caffeine.
We had virgin mimosas at my shower (it was at a church-no alcohol) made with non alcoholic champagne if you can find it, or just orange juice, lemonade concentrate, and ginger ale. They were tasty!
Public Service Announcement: “non-alcoholic” wines and beer still contain alcohol (the percentage is lower but it is still there) so they would not be acceptable if the church doesn’t allow alcohol to be served.
Im talking more along the lines of carbonated grape juice, not something you would buy in a liquor store. I live in PA and we have very strict alochol restrictions, you cant even buy non-a beer outside of a state store.
Martinelli’s sparkling cider is good. The health food section at most grocery stores has sparkling fruit juice (cherry, strawberry, cranberry, grape, etc).
This stuff is terrific: http://www.kristianregale.com/pear
We have a bunch of guests who don’t drink for religious reasons, so we bought a case of this as an alternative to sparkling wine.
they don’t drink tea OR coffee, so that probably wouldn’t work, but it does sound YUMMY!!!!!!
Orange juice and peach nectar with ginger ale or sprite for fizziness? Kind of a non-alcoholic bellini/mimosa hybrid.
I also love the combo of orange and pineapple juice, with maybe a cherry and a splash of cherry juice for a pretty sunset-y color.
