I wouldn’t worry too much about the shoes matching your Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses perfectly.

As for the heel, it really depends on what size heel you wear regularly.  For instance, when I used to work retail, I got used to standing for eight hours in four inch heels and they wouldn’t bother me one bit.  Now I wear flats to work everyday and my feet hurt when I wear four inch heels for more than an hour or two.  The shoes might be cute, but if you aren’t used to heels that high, you are going to end up taking them off.  If they are that important to you, could you maybe wear them for pictures and part of the wedding, and lower comfy heels or flat the rest of the time?

I am kind of partial to peep toes.  Are those the 5 inch heels in the picture?

By The Way, your dress is gorgeous!! Good luck!

If I were you I would not wear 5 inch heels unless you are very good and comfortable with walking in that high of heels! You don’t want to be walking akwardly down the aisle or not be able to dance in them because they are so uncomfortable. I would stick with 3 -4 inch heels.

When it comes to the color of your shoes I think white/ ivory ALWAYS look good. You could also match your accent tone or color of your jewelry (gold shoes with gold jewelry, silver shoes with silver jewelry.)

If you want to wear colored shoes I would match the shoe color that your Bridesmaids are wearing or the exact color of their dresses. Also I like the look of if BM’s wear a lighter version of the color of your shoes and you wear a bold dark shade of that color. But I would not wear a completely different color than they are wearing. Such as if your BM’s are wearing green and you go with  purple shoes. To me, that would look akward.

What I am doing is my BM’s are wearing red dresses and we will all either wear the same Red matching shoes, they will wear red shoes and I will wear Ivory, or they will wear silver shoes and I will wear Red.

For a summer wedding I would most def. wear Peep toes or strap like these:

    Hope I helped 😀

You could always add shoe clips if you want a little bling or detail.

I’m wearing this same dress. I am wearing these shoes. I really wanted a colored shoe too, but I saw these and just fell in love.

I don’t think that you should feel like you need to match the bridesmaids dresses too closely, if you do decide to go with a colored shoe.

I’m a petite bride and I usually live in heels too!  I second the motion on the 5″ platforms and kicking them off under the table when you’re sitting.  The Enzos look like they might just be a bit more comfortable than the ones you posted though!

@Kateski:I am a young bride too 🙂 21. Love the tat, I would def go with the suede shoes, when I wrote my post only the green dress showed up.. odd. But is there any way you could get them in a lower height? You may want to get a second pair incase you just can’t bear them all the way through the reception lol

Keep in mind that if then length of time the ceremony will take when deciding on heel height.  From experience, it’s one thing to be able to walk around in high heels for hours, buts it’s another thing to be standing in them for 1/2 hour during a ceremony in front of all your family/ friend trying not to move.  For some reason, not being able to move around really bothered my feet.  I’m fine wearing high heels in general though!
