Are any of your grooms wearing stacked heel/”elevator”-type shoes to make up for the height difference?
My Fiance and I did the math–we are the same height, and it would be a LOT cheaper to get him slightly higher shoes than for me to get my dress hemmed (it’s pretty intricate). Plus, it would take care of the height discrepancy between him and his groomsmen, which he is a little worried about. But really, we aren’t even sure whether such things exist. He’s on the fence about it, but he admits it’s because he can’t get the idea of drag-queen stilettos out of his head.Do they even make these sorts of things? Are they discreet? I don’t want him to look like Prince.

Did a quick google search for you and found this: http://www.tallmenshoes.com/
Check it out they have all different styles and heights.

Tom Cruise did something like this so him and Katie would appear to be the same height. Not really sure where you could find them.

I started a thread about this: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/mens-shoe-lifts
We are going to do the shoe inserts.

@kitzy: Most of what I saw there was inserts, though. It seems like those would be awfully uncomfortable, because they’d press the top of your foot tightly against the top of your shoe.
I’d really like to find special shoes if at all possible. There’s gotta be something like this somewhere.

@Miss Tattoo: I saw that. Are they comfortable? I am just having a little trouble imagining the logistics, I guess. It seems like those would push the top of his feet into the part that laces, resulting in a less-than-optimal situation. But I guess if he was wearing Chucks or something that laced further up, it might not matter.

@FMM: Don’t know how I didn’t find those, but that seems to be exactly it. I don’t remember what search term I used, but the first results I got were go-go boots and patent leather red man-stilettos, so I quickly closed the window–I’m at work and don’t want any rumors started…

@Miss Tattoo: Fortunately, Chucks seem to provide a little bit of lift in and of themselves, so even if it doesn’t work, you might be able to add at least half an inch just due to those shoes.
