I would personally have not wanted to wear shoes that high because I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep them on all day and night and would want to be able to switch to flats or sandels for dancing without worrying about the dress being too long. I wore 2 inch heels. I personally hate platforms, especially on formal shoes. I am 5’8″ and Darling Husband is 6’2.”

These were mine…4 1/2 inch Christian Louboutin beauties. I’m 5’3 and my husband is 5’8, so we were pretty much the same height in pics, but eh, who cares? I love those shoes!

I wore flats, and I don’t regret my decision at all! I wanted something comfortable that I could keep on my feet all night. They were perfect.

If you can rock’em, rock’em.  I always have a healthy smidge of envy when I see girls rocking serious heels – but I just can’t walk elegantly in them, no matter how hard I’ve tried.  Also, since Im a little over 5’6 and Fiance is 5’9,  major heels were out of the question.

I got 2 inch Jimmy’s.   One of my BM’s, on the other hand, is rocking 4 inch silver sparklers, very similar to @Miss Root:‘s – and she looks fabulous.

I didn’t wear these yet, and I don’t have them in my hands cause I just ordered them! 🙂 They’re 3 inches.

I’m also wearing a tea length dress so I’m soooo excited about showing them off 🙂

^ Tea length dresses are perfect for showing off flashy pumps! It’s almost a crime that you don’t get to see most of the fab wedding day shoes that brides wear with their full-length dresses.

I wore 4″ heels on my wedding day.

….buuuuuuuut after dinner, photos, and cake cutting, I changed into flip flops. Cuz dancing was SERIOUS business.

I’m 5 feet tall and my wedding heels were 4 inches I believe… They were gorgeous, but killed my feet so I changed into flip flops after the ceremony. 😉

Mine are a 5 inch heel with 1 inch platform. The first time I wore them was at my dress fitting after standing still for almost an hour my feet were hurting but im walking around them more to get used to them and break them in. Im 5’2 and my Fiance is 6’2 so I think we would look awkward if I didnt wear heels! lol Plus I will never catch up to him.

4.5 with a 1/2 inch platform.  They were unbelieveably comfortable and manged to stay on for 8+ hours with no problem.  I’m 5’4 and my husband is 6’3, so I can wear any shoe and still be a good bit shorter than him..
