I’m curious – I’m holding a bridal shower for a girl friend in June and we’ll be having everyone out on our back deck for the festivities…
Anywho – my husband is very concerned about the 30 women and their 60 feet walking in heels back and forth on our wood floor from our side door to our bathroom. Does anyone know of a cute saying that I could have in a little frame that I could hang on the door to tell the ladies to kindly be careful with their heels?!
This isn’t rude right?
Thanks so much!

“Please Remove Shoes” <– polite and to the point, but then I work in real estate and we put those signs in every house and no one thinks twice about it.
I think your husband is right to be concerned, my parents had their hardwood floors detroyed by one person wearing stilettos. There’s little indents from wherever she stood in the living room!
Could you just put a rug or runner down if you don’t want to ask them to remove their shoes?

@Appless14: Put a runner down, or tape painting paper to the floor.

I think a simple sign like other poster suggested is great. However, some people feel very uncomfortable removing their shoes (didnt paint toe nails, etc). I like to know ahead of time if I must remove my shoes. However, whenever I go to a party at someones house I also go prepared with pampered feet 😀 LOL If you could put a runner that would be your best bet.
