    Flats

    Heels

If you can practice a lot in your heels then go for it!

I’d wear heels to the ceremony and pictures and then change into flats for the reception. That’s what I plan on doing!

I wore flats, I don’t wear heels as DH is the same height as me! They were comfy, I could walk properly, didn’t sink into the grass..lots of benefits 🙂

I’m wearing flats, but thats only because my fiance is like a half inch taller than me and I don’t want to be taller than him with heels on! I actually got some really adorable peep toe flats from the dessy group. I’m pretty excited about it. It did take me months to find them though, apparently peep toe flats are nearly impossible to find.

In my opinion, it doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks or is doing. Everyone’s different so just do whatever makes you happy/makes you feel comfortable. For me, that means wearing flats since much like you, I don’t really wear heels all that often. However, I fully support anyone wearing (any size) heels if that’s what makes them happy/comfortable.

I think flats are totally fine, especially if you’re not used to wearing heels.

To compromise, you could always wear heels for the ceremony and then flats for the reception (or just have flats as a back up for when your feet start to hurt).

I’m wearing flats for my wedding because I have foot problems, I am pretty clumsy, and my fiance is also not much taller than me.

Do whatever you feel most comfortable with and don’t let other people’s opinions influence you too much. It’s your wedding and you’re going to have to be comfortable.
Plus, if your dress is floor length, not too many people will see your shoes anyway so it’s not that big of a deal, IMO.

@skippygurl:  I’m planning to wear flats at my wedding (though I haven’t been able to find the perfect pair of shoes yet).

I think the most important thing is that you’re comfortable.  I never wear heels, so it was a no-brainer for me.  I’m super short (5’1″), and I still refuse to wear heels!

Just make sure you choose which shoe you want to wear prior to dress alterations!  You don’t want to change your mind last minute and have a dress that’s too short (or too long)!

@skippygurl:  flats are totally fine!! I’m sure they’ll look great!!!

If you do try the heels, you will definitely be in flats by the end of the night guarantee!! It might be better for you to just skip the extra step, and go with what you’re most comfortabnle with!

If you like them and you feel most comfortable wearing flats, then go for it!
